Contemporary art focusing on mixed media paintings and sculpture in bronze, steel and wood ranging in size from pedestal to large outdoor commissions.
My sculpture is marked by flowing but strong lines, sometimes moving in and out of the ground, sometimes moving in arches and curves. It is done in both steel and bronze, and either painted or finished with a patina. The painted wood sculpture is done in the same fashion as the Viscus paintings: 20 layers of oil enamel paint applied to solid wood, with pieces of stained glass and seeds, nuts, shells and other natural elements added inside the layers of paint. The layers are sanded back once they've all dried and the result is rich finish that is like marble.
